Lifetimers Leisure Club

This page describes the activities for older adults operated by the Community Recreation staff of the Porirua City Council based at the Te Rauparaha Arena.

The Lifetimers Leisure Club provides activities to help enrich and empower the lives of adults’ aged 50+.

Full and half day trips give you the opportunity to explore, investigate and enjoy the Greater Wellington, Manawatu and Wairarapa regions. We offer a range of outings 2 - 3 times month, either to places you haven't been to for a while or to hidden gems that you are yet to discover. Recent outings have included gardens, historical sites, exhibitions, sanctuaries, "Operatunity's" at Southwards, ferry trips and "Big Walks". And often find an extra few minutes to hunt down a cafe for a cuppa and a bite to eat.

Plus, we regularly do evening outings for a night at the theatre, a ballet, or a musical. Travel to and from the venue by chartered bus means no parking hassles and a chance to chat with each other about the highlights afterwards.
